Sheridan
Lake Resort has accommodations to suit most everyone, from cabins
to campsites. The welcome mat is always out, Bob and Jeanine
Leith who own and operate this popular resort, are always ready
to help you, from parking and boat launching to showing you
the fishing hot spots. For your fishing convenience, the resort
has a fully stocked tackle shop, an excellent launching ramp,
and reserved dock space, boat and motor rentals, fishing cleaning
station and freezer space.
Cabins:The
Leith’s over the past 14 years have remodeled 16 cabins inside
and out, and built three new ones. All the cabins have hot and
cold running water, electricity, refrigerators, microwaves,
stoves and cooking utensils.
You can choose from either one or two bedroom cabins with or
without indoor plumbing, or two bedroom units complete with
hot water, bath and/or shower, flush toilets, electric heat
and stove. If you would rather not bring your own bedding, ask
us about providing it.
Camping:
For RV’s and campers there are 100 grassy sites. All sites have
power and water, and can handle any size of RV. Also, available
is a clean washroom, shower house and sani-dump.
Fishing:
Sheridan Lake is well known for its excellent rainbow trout
fishery, that includes many trophy-sized catches. Check the
brag boards outside the front office containing names of anglers
who have caught five, six and seven pound trout, inside are
the records of catches that hit the teens. The record catch
weighed 17-pounds and seven ounces. Whether you like to fly-fish
or troll, Sheridan Lake has it all, including an abundance of
fish. Because of the abundant shrimp and insect populations
that make for a rapid growth rate, the average rainbow weights
approximately 3 pounds, but over 10 pound fish are not uncommon.
The
fishing fun at Sheridan starts in May and continues into late
fall. Prime fishing takes place early morning late evening. During
the summer, when the shallow waters become too warm, the fishing
switches to the deeper waters. When not fishing go site seeing,
hiking or just relax at the resort.
Rentals:
Sheridan Lake Resort has boat and motor rentals. They have 12
rental boats, all are 14ft. with new Johnson 6HP outboards.
The resort has plenty of dock space for people who bring their
own boats and no launch fee. There are 36 moorage spots, 20
feet per moorage.
Sheridan
Lake Resort is open year round for fishing, hunting, snowmobiling
and cross-country skiing. And, of course, Bob and Jeanine will
do their best to make your stay inviting and unforgettable.
